In today’s “data-driven era,” great emphasis must be placed on high-quality system and network security. This is especially important in industrial automation, where a large number of machines and devices are connected within a single industrial network, making them increasingly frequent targets of hacker attacks.

SPEL, a.s. has become the first holder in the Czech Republic of the IEC 62443-2-4 certification. The primary goal of this standard is to ensure the secure operation of industrial automation systems and protect all system components from unwanted interference. Our company complies with the requirements, conditions, and criteria of this international standard for project development, control system integration, and IT networks. We are therefore able to provide customers with a systematic and practical approach to cybersecurity in their industrial systems. As this is an international certification, our solutions are recognized almost worldwide.

ISO 9001 Certificate

At SPEL, a.s., a quality management system has been implemented and maintained. Since 1999, the company has been certified according to the ISO 9002:1997 standard. In 2003, the company was recertified according to ISO 9001:2000. Currently, we operate in compliance with ISO 9001:2016, with initial validity from January 2018.

Since 2007, SPEL, a.s. has implemented and maintained an environmental management system. In April 2008, the company was certified according to ISO 14001:2004 standards, and in 2011 according to ISO 14001:2005 standards. We currently hold certification according to ISO 14001:2016, with the initial cycle starting in January 2017.

Since 2025, SPEL, a.s. has implemented and maintained an information security management system. In July 2025, the company was certified according to the ČSN EN ISO 27001:2023 standard. We currently hold certification according to ČSN EN ISO 27001:2023, with the initial cycle starting in July 2025.
